nderstanding the individualistic nature of the people from whence we came, we decided that rather than booking a block of rooms at some indiscriminate hotel, we would leave the options open to our out-of-town guests. We will, however, provide you with the insight we've gleaned from our combined 50+ years of living in the Old Pueblo. We have also taken care in recommending lodging that is less than a ten-minute drive from the wedding ceremony and reception. Also, just in case you have some xtra time while you're here, there are certain "not-to-be-missed" attractions that one should check out. Allow us to inform.. |

ARIZONA INN: |
| |
Let us start by saying that the Arizona Inn is an icon. In fact, Bree's uncle and cousin both worked there for years, attending to stars and starlets, and Bree & Bear have both enjoyed its restaurants, croquet course, pool, and library for years. It is an historic, boutique, resort hotel spread over 14 acres of gardens, fountains, flowers and lawns in the heart of mid-town Tucson, Arizona. The luxury Inn has been continually owned and operated by the same family since its inception under the careful eye of its founder, Isabella Greenway, in 1930, and its casita-style rooms and suites have been robustly maintained and restored ever since, keeping their original warmth, privacy, comfort and charm while gaining all the modern day resort amenities a Tucson guest might desire.

STARR PASS GOLF RESORT: |

Starr Pass is great in that it feels tucked away in a remote and spectacular desert arena, but is actually extremely close to other Tucson attractions. The endlessly changing vistas of natural beauty surrounding this inviting resort provide the stunning backdrop for a perfect mix of comfort and casual elegance.A 75-foot heated Olympic swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness center are just the beginnings of a full array of amenities. At the heart of the resort community is the celebrated Starr Pass Golf Course. Its desert style layout and dramatic terrain challenges golfers of all skill levels. The J. W. Starr Pass Resort and spa added nine additional holes, making it a 27-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Facility.

THE ROYAL ELIZABETH: |
| |
Constructed in 1878, the Blenman House, in which the Royal Elizabeth Bed & Breakfast is housed, is thought to be the only known example in the world of a San Francisco Victorian home built in Territorial-style of adobe mud. Nestled right in the heart of historic downtown Tucson, Royal Elizabeth guests enjoy the perfect downtown location for work or play, conveniently located within easy reach of the most popular local and regional attractions. Guests at The Royal Elizabeth often leave their cars parked throughout their stay—or don’t bother renting a car at all. This accomodation is also within walking distance of both the wedding ceremony and reception. The owners pride themselves in sharp attention to detail, maintaining clean, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, thoughtfully-prepared and beautifully-presented gourmet breakfasts and an extremely personal level of individual service.

THE HOTEL CONGRESS: |
| |
|
| |
Built in 1919, Hotel Congress was constructed to serve the growing cattle industry & railroad passengers of the Southern Pacific Line. The Congress of the 1920s was the perfect shelter for travelers and high-rollers fresh from the East, but on January 22, 1934, a fire started in the basement of the hotel and spread up the elevator to the third floor. This fire led to the capture of one of the country’s most notorious criminals—John Dillinger. Besides the historical significance for Tucson, the hotel has some deep roots for Bree & Bear personally as well. Its where Jeff Bailey used to own and operate his restaurant the B&B Cafe, it where Bree & Bear met, its where they both used to work, its where Bree used to DJ, and more importantly, its where Bear had his first alcoholic beverage. The hotel is the epicenter of downtown Tucson, boasting 6 bars, a top-notch restaurant, and a dance club. These are also the reasons we did not recommend it for accommodations, unless getting to sleep before 2AM is not of importance to you. Otherwise, have at it!

OLD TUCSON STUDIOS: |
| |
|
| |
Just fifteen minutes from Tucson at the base of the Tucson Mountains lies a preserved slice of Americana-Old Tucson Studios. The studios served as the backdrop for many classic western films, including Rio Bravo, High Chaparrel, Petrocelli, Posse, & The Outlaw Josie Wales as well as famous t.v. shows such as Father Murphy and Little House on the Prarie. Bree's mother, father, and aunt worked on many of these projects rubbing elbows with the likes of people like Steve McQueen and Elizabeth Taylor. Passing through the gates today, visitors are transported back to a time when fearless men with six shooters ruled the Old West. This is a great family destination!

THE BIOSPHERE 2: |
| |
|
| |
Constructed between 1987 and 1991, Biosphere 2 was used to explore the complex web of interactions within life systems in a structure that included five areas based on natural biomes and an agricultural area and human living/working space to study the interactions between humans, farming and technology with the rest of nature.Covering 3.14-acres, this structure was built to be an artificial, materially-closed ecological system. It also explores the possible use of closed biospheres in space colonization, and allows the study and manipulation of a biosphere without harming Earth's. It is one of only 3 man-made biospheres operating in the world, and worth a visit to get a chance to witness life in"the bubble" (or you could just come to our house and experience our bubble with yummy food, fun, and kitties. Your choice).
